One Stanton STR8-80 and a shitty neumark mixer, ha ha.
Much has changed. I rocked a single table for EVER! Made ya get creative. used to play the radio and scratch to tunes.

(Sega Master System II - 1989)

Got my first turntable in 2001 along with a shitty popitty reloop mixer. Took me a year to get a second one and even much more time to finally get a mixer with an adjustable crossfader curve....
My first sampler was the 404 (oct 05)... since then I bought lots of shit and sold lots of shit. Things are I miss most are the RC-50 looper, MPC1k, Kaoss Pad2 and Serato.. :(

ormo...tr707,sweet.

i'm retracting my original comment because the first thing i ever made a mix tape on was a GPX record/casette player from Jr. high. I wish i still had it.

I think my first synth was a Roland S700? It didn't have much sample time, but I could hook it up to a tv set, but I didn't like it much at the time. I kind of had larger expectations of a sampling keyboard, but it was a fairly dated synth by the time I got my hands on it.

First drum machine was a TR707, which I think I got for cheap, but I couldn't find any memory cards for it, and I wanted to program more than 1 measure, but that's all it could do. Forgot why we parted ways, but I did get a 2nd one later. Same problem as the first, just didn't have what I needed, so it had to go again. Now, they're going up in price, so I'm kicking myself for parting with both, since if I still had them, I could have sold them off for more than I got them for.

First Vocoder was a Electric WarpFactory, but I didn't like it.

First Groovebox was a MC-505.

other than a yamaha psr, i had an Akai S3000XL. I ended up selling it concerned that it was going to wear out sometime soon. I'd love to get my hands on one that has a lot of life left in it someday

First piece was an EMU-E5000 Ultra sampler. Sold lots of other gear, but this I will never part with. For those who are in the know. Big up beat munger, doppler, and of course the filters.. Oh the filters ....yummy.. :D
