I've been casually glancing at prices for the DR-202 on eBay and the prices indicate that they are in demand. I've seen a few hit $120. I need to find one for parts. I'm lucky to have got mine for a song!

for those who want to backup your dr-202 beats to your computer to save and create a new set and then later reload the previous batch.. i found this site with directions on how. but i have not tried it myself yet.

Gritty drums like a mufucka..Saw a video on YT where some dude made a loop and sampled it in his s950..Straight chunky like Campbell's soup. Thinking of installing 1/4" jacks for the RCA outs and headphones. I'm also looking into installing a nice backlight for it to make it more studio/club friendly.

Of course I'll take a pic, Ella! Got a 16 bar freestyle recorded to SP, ST, SU and I'll post it soon. Been having problems coordinating studio time with my engineer friend.

can anyone advise me how you change patterns, and at what intervals?
I like to mash ideas up and chop and change between patterns mid beat.
In the pdf manual I read I think you have to change patterns with the data wheel. This sounds messy and unintuitive.
Is there no way to change patterns using the pads? I know electribes do this.

i'm pretty sure you can only change patterns using the data wheel. when you play a pattern and select the next one, the 1st one will play till the end and the 2nd will start right after. no mid beat pattern changing:(
