Just started, those samples are sick. One of the better Yes songs too.

Freek the beat

Played replayed resampled reresampled rejoked noised rescrewed and then , maybe, listned with: zoom st-224, boss sp-202, boss sp-303. Recorded into the zoom mrs-4; vocalized with a cheap akg mic. Equalized in ableton live 6 with free plugins.

Used my 606...Mostly chopped up the awaken sample... the other sample I got like literally a second of string there haha its basically unnoticeable.. but it wouldn't fit so what can I say... Oh and I also got a "YES" in there...but it's not me saying it.... you'll find out who it is

Here is my submission for open challenge #4. I used both samples to create the sounds in my track. A lower frequency portion of the cello sample was used to create the bass timbres. I fucked around with this one quite a bit throwing in some subsonic, vocal transform and topped it off with some phaser set close to the tempo of the track. Then I resampled with both pitch and chromatic ps and finally chopped off the tail ends to keep the notes short. The chopped vocals from the second sample were not processed and used as the foundation to build my track around. The drums came from a collection of old school drum machine wavs.

I used only my sp-404, recorded directly into garageband and then to mp3. Garageband sucks balls and I use normally ableton to record. Now that I don't have a free connection anymore the saving and exporting abilities are disabled. Anyway, this is a rough version I would like to further mix but I wanted to get something submitted before deadline.

Got slightly bored with what I got though, so i decided to just mixdown and upload it. The synthy sample was a bit tough to use, but I did use both samples. My beat turned out alright I think.
