The keyboard style pitch & mod wheels on each side are a brilliant idea- love the chromatic pad layout as well. I can see if you are from outside of America you might get bugged out by da slang- but it ain't no thang- people talk like that all the time for fun & flavor- there was even a hit song by Dre & Snoop called "Nuthin' but a G- Thang". Enta Da Stage- etc.. the ultimate proof will be in the performance. It still don't have no D-Beam doe!

just only a pitch wheels (or whatever) in itself is a fucking brilliant thing!!!Roland people listen to this, boys!!

yes, i find this a little funny but i think it's a part of the hiphop culture, here in europe also hiphop people have a slang and a talk that sometimes only them understand...and in europe there are so different languages that at the end you loose yourself :)

why would you want a shitty keyboard on a sampler when you could get a GOOD sampler and a GOOD keyboard with all that and more? sure you could save space but your also sacrificing your ability to actually play a keyboard like a keyboard

That beat sounds great the moment they add that swing to it.

Damn no extra outputs (unless you can get a different mix from the headphone jacks).

I wonder what the step programming they write about on their site will be like, if it's with those 8 keys and shift 9/16 it might be kind of cool.

as much heat as this thing catches, from that video it looks like the interface is pretty quick and intuitive. seems like a decent little machine, don't know if it'll be for me...but I'm all for expansion of the hardware sampler market, which is a dying breed for sure no thanks to nukai. also no multiple outs for a workstation type joint is kinda wack...but not the end of the world.

No, but you can get an MPC1000 for less, maybe about the same with the JJ OS updates and memory expansion, you don't get the extra outputs on the thang but prolly a better interface, it doesn't look bad though, it has adsr and filters, but then you would need to hook up a knob interface to really use that stuff.

their website looks like one big scam. its all "g'ed" out. chrome drummachine with the blue shine, i mean, is it a beat machine or a club. i feel like i should be sittin on 20 inch rims to use this machine.

...or on jordans, the marketing of this (Hardware) is imho a little over the top. Also, it is supposed to be the same price as a mp1k. I hope they will bundle the software with the hardware. I think that it looks like an alien and if I were in charge of making there promos I would have expanded on that front, like some trip hop or more electronic sound capabilities rather than just cornering ONLY the hip hop hardcore market. idk just some thoughts.

Their marketing makes sense when they want to play the underdog biting the Akai MPC market and crowd, but it's not going to work the way they are trying.

The machine looks more solid then their marketing though, which is why it will fail.

I also think they should be realistic and change the price point to something clearly sub-MPC1000.

Nah I was thinking it would be like the same price as like a 404 (probably cos it looks like a toy, and is called a thing) but apparently it's $1000, FUCK THAT.
