Yes, you could.
But, results are more rewarding when you can get them with less effort. Axiom's sample set of 322 breaks have already been trimmed to 1,2...8 bars of length, which means that they loop perfectly. Recording from PC would require you to reset the end points for looping.
I already had 66 of these funk breaks set up for loops from MP3 in Trackor Scratch. It would have taken me hours of work to convert the mp3s to WAV and trim them for use in the SP-404.

Strange, I am kept in a download waiting loop and cant get the files.

this shows the high frequency in audible noise from the mp3s , i do not mind it or notice but some people say they can.
