like i mentioned a few comments before, it's only a looped beat without any changes i did, except setting start and end points. I never said it was created by myself (or if so, please quote!!!)

So that changes my opinions a bit... Next time try looping some of that folk stuff you've been getting into. Its poor form to sample a beat that's already sampled from elsewhere. Nothing wrong with using the same sample as someone else though. You just have to try & use it differently to the last guy. Yeah Alchemist's hard to top but you can flip the source song a million other ways.

OK so to get the loop matching your drums, remember to go into the sample parameters on the loop (FUNC+13). In there:
- scroll down ot the play type
- set it to 'PHRASE'
- make sure the number of measures adds up to the right number of bars for the loop (a loop in 4/4 will be 4 measures)
- check the tempo in the bottom right of the screen (next to the '=')
- exit the window
- hit BPM & set it to the same as the sample
- sequence your drums

^That way your drums will always match the loop's tempo.

Pay attention to where the bass is in the loop. That's always a good hint on where the drums will sound best.

For variety, try copying the loop to another pad then getting the copied loop to start halfway through. Hit the pads in a 1-1-1-2-1-1-2-2 pattern or whatever. See how different that sounds? Nicer than the one bar playing over & over.

I DID NOT (!!!!) RESAMPLE THE ALCHEMIST BEAT, I ONLY LOOPED IT BECAUSE IT WAS THOUGHT TO BE THE MELODIC PART TO THE DRUM PATTERN!!!! Like i already said in the beginning...

It's not my fault if someone misunderstands an answer!
Who said that in the art of sampling there would be no rules??? Like i see there are rules or why am i the bad guy now? Lol ridiculous!

cheers mate, i feel you on the no-software way of doing this but eventually, if you try hard enough you`ll manage to get around the software and use it, at some point it`s gonna be a lot easier
