You can cast up to 10 unique votes. 8)

can we submitt votes in 2 (or more) times?

No, but if it turns out we don't have a clear top 10 of winners, we might have to think of something. For now though, please cast all 10 votes if possible. It seems we have a clear top 8, but a few draws below that.

mans - this took FOREVER!
looking at the results, i realize my tastes are not the same as everyone else's!

here are my comments on everyone's stuff. very cool pieces guys, congrats to all. stars next to the dudes i voted for (my fave was IIIII):

Adru – solid beat, epic tv show theme
Amable – really like the heavy 'break' part & FM synth-style keys
Antee – great sounding drums, nice little hi-note-lo-note break
BlackSnow – mixed a little quiet, but I like the phrasing.
Computers – holy disco! Boozy and crazy.
Count Sierackula – dark and thick, that's a menacing kick mans.
*Creep Nasty – fuzzy stuff, I really like that chromatic descending scale
Dibiase – nice pace, dark head-nodder. One of the few trax that created a song rather than a beat IMO
*DJ Just Jeff – hey that's pretty hot! I like that second beat coming in over the chord drone. Harder head nodz! Also, a good length to the track, and good pace.
*Dman – just like candy drum riff! Veeeery dark and creepy, cool. This is a simple beat but I dig it.
Doctakay – good pace, good subtle sounds in the background. Woah, fast end!
Elhuana – cool change up after the intro, sloppy in a really good way. Also created a song rather than a beat. For some reason reminds me of the old Rastan video game (that's good, btw).
Ellaguru – woah, heavy comp on those drums. Very cool. Hectic track.
Fauna – i'm actually pretty happy with how this turned out. Which is rare, LOL
IG9 – crazy stutter / gated beat. Fuck man! Its like you're mad at us! lol
*IIIII – cool abstract intro to a metallic head nodder. Hm. And I really like the melodic break. And a slight return!
*Jaylost – drunken cowboy intro, very cool warpy melody, solid beats.
Jgriz – huh. Totally different sound. Cool. Minimal electro.
Jmoki – techno horror movie. Solid.
*JonWayne – cool phrasing, like the gutted samples. Like the acid dose that kicks in bout half-way thru...crazy structure
Juxt – hard drums mans. Simple beat, but very cool.
*Kel – where is the voice sample from? Very understated beat, stripped down with good shots. Cool.
Lazyfoot23 – good, straight beat.
Oaxaca – sloppy head-nodder. Like the beat and how warped everything sounds.
Ormo – digital sunrise. Very gritty. Cool stuff, but goes on a bit long IMO
Project Waxwick – pretty cool stuff. Like the miami vice intro and how you bring in the drums.
*Sp404beatz – stuttery, fragmented, I like it when it gets going. Cool outro too.
SteveC – a little too D&B for me, but cool you were able to get this from the samples
*Teewok – great pace, good melody, solid head nodder. Good piece, mans.
Timfromtexas – good piece, solid shots
Wax Inspector – cool pacing, kind of a Massive Attack feel with the grinding drums and Dub shots, more of a storyteller feel.
*Wundrkut – didn't like the intro, but really liked the beat right after! Very cool pace, good filters on the keys, and like the little guitar cutz.

8) adru- nice flip, nice beat
amable-cool, i thought it could have flowed better though
8) antee- dope beat man. good job on tweeking the drums
blacksnow- not bad, but drums wernt hitting too hard and were a little too loud in the mix
8) computers- dope melody. i like the way you combined it with the drums. has a nice boom bap sound.
count sieracula- rugged drums. and cool synth
8) creep nasty- i liked the way you did those drums. dope melody too
dibiase- dope beat but you were arguing with my mans dru so you didnt get my vote. nah , i gave you a vote:lol:
dj just jeff- dope beat, i maby melody could have been a little more solid. dope job on the drums
dman5000- close call but it just sounded too strange too me
doctakay- dope but still missing something
8) elhuana- nice, i like the way you did the melody
ellaguru- dope but it sounds too wild and unorganized
fauna- pretty good, if there wasnt so many dope beats you would get a vote
ig9- this is why you dont do drugs kids.jk just a little too out there
8) iiiii-nice bass melody and drums.
jaylost- dope, but i have a limited number of votes
jgriz- pretty nice, but a little too simple for a tuff battle
jmoki- a little too abstract for my taste. i though it could of bit more solid
8) johnwayne- nice, i like you way you did the melody
juxt- what the fuck is wrong with you? first you unsucessfully try recreating someone elses drums and then come with a wack melody over it. how bout you stay retired from the arena?
kel- good but you gotta come harder than that with this tough competition
lazyfoot- i thought the beat have been a little more solid
oaxaca- i wasnt feeling it so much at first. after that switch up it got more interesting.
ormo- sound like a exteremly lofi wild, you got some cool stuff going on there though.
project waxwick - sounded interesting
sp404beatz- not bad i thought it could have flowed better though
steve c- cool fx
8) teewok- plain old boom bap. probably my favorite beat here
timfromtexas- nice but too much dope competiton
8) wax- pretty dope melody and drums. the pitch makes the drums sound cool but also kills the drums punch.
wundrkut- dope. i like the way the bass and kick hit.

I added some notes on how every beat was made to the beginning of this topic. Check it out. (they are basically just quotes of the original battle topic)
