the rules say no external drums, only drums you can use are from the sample. but even if you dont use the drums in the sample, post it up anyway.

Using your own drums would make it a much easier battle, no skill to be gained from that, what do think this is FP. J/K but we would like to hear anything you got but only completely flipped beats enter the battle.

blast1: post whatever abortion you concocted. did you hear my last entry? who gives a fuck, we're not trying for record deals here. =)

about the rules, it seems to me that if you allow outside drums then it just becomes a game of find the loop instead of a real chopping kung fu battizle ya know? i don't want to know how big your library is. =)

I agree it's just nice to see people throw down, sometimes you got some ill shit and sometimes you can't put it all together they way you want, I'm sure all of us will post something we might not be ecstatic about now in then but it's just a forum battle not a track for a finished album.

true, my bad.... ok so..., this is not even a beat... might wanna turn down your speakers or up a little... i guess this what happens when you drink & drive... ''light the bud...''

i couldn't come up with anything rythmicly... so i just picked apart the song & threw some fx's on them... it's whack...

i don't know, but mines sounds more like a sound test... then a beat... but like i said i just tweeked the sounds from that budlight song...

yeah, sounded like a sound test until 1:40 had a little rythm going. You should have focused on that part more. cool shit though.

good news and bad news.

the bad news is that i couldn't get anyfing together from this budlight song, despite my efforts.

the good news is that it was a really cool process. i learned some stuff about the 404 i didn't know, and learned a bunch about my process - how when i find samples i can relate to (ie: not the budlight track) the pieces seem to come pretty naturally. also, how i'm far more interested in layering stuff from a sample w/ drummachine stuffs and found sounds and aw that and aw that. little tricks, little sounds that i'm drawn to. very cool.

but this is me bowing out of the battle (even tho y'all didn't know my hat was in the ring!), but that i'll be down for the next throwdown.

AND that i'll post some music in the "music" section soonishly, so you know i'm not just shooting blanx.

keep org'ing the battizzles tho, cuz i'd be up for at least tryin' em every time.

thx.

I like it, it reminds me of playing old nintendo games back in the day with the bit crushed sounds they had for the game music, I would of liked to hear some drums over it, but I still enjoyed the experimental sounds a lot very Kraftwerk-esque. Thanks for droppin' a beat to everyone that participated and I hope more will decide to hop on it for the next battle.
