I made this yesterday, it's really short, so I might try to make another beat tonight. I used MPC 2500, Analog Heat & KP3+. Only used his sounds, from a few different songs. Wanted to try to keep his feel. Just recorded myself hittin mutes & playin with the KP3+ thru the AH.
It was a challenge, but fun!

I worked on this all weekend and it was kicking my arse. I have a 4 minute long house track, that needs a few more finishing touches and a mix down. I'll post it up in the next couple days.

It kicked my ass too..... I didn't do much on the mixing side of the beat I posted & felt I should put more work into it so tonight I fixed it up a bit & made it a little longer. I'll post it tmrw when I get to work.

Edit - I replaced the beat I posted above with the cleaned up longer version. & nice 2nd beat Crane, I like that growlin noise

I'll have to check it out when I get home. I liked the first one. I have a few revisions I'd like to attempt on my sitback one as well when I have some time.

Edit: sharris, I played it quietly (very quietly) at work, it sounds dope, I like how there is more of that launch...vocal sample in it. I bet it sounds great in some headphones.

Oh nice! I was hoping I wasn't holding everyone up. I'm just about done with it. The artwork is shaping up nice too. I've been re-learning Photoshop in between working on the track. I'll post up the picture before I put any text on it. I just going to put "Robby B Remixed" on it, if that's what you wanted to use, Crane?

I'm interested in seeing the picture you are coming up with and I think "Robby B Remixed" in some cool lettering, pretty much says it all unless anyone has any other ideas.
I was thinking another picture for the back that we can put the names of the tracks and artist.

sharris - I definitely like that version better now that I got to listen to it properly. I think that would make a great intro track with the launch and get the fuck up in there.

Ok, there's what I have so far. This is a reduced version for the forum. I think it's ready for text. I could strip the speaker and wings off and write a tracklist on the color explosion thing in the background. Let me know what you all think.

Yeah, man! I could definitely use some help. This was just me grabbing free clipart and stock images and watching youtube tutorials for the background coloring. I'm a rookie when it comes to this stuff. I used to play around with website graphics ages ago. I don't even have any cool fonts anymore. I can send you the .psd or whatever format you need, if you want to work on it?
