Hey everyone. So I'm new here and I looked at the rules for battles but had no luck. A quick question (I have an Sp-404): Can I record my patterns into audacity or do I have to export wave files via a compact flash card reader? I understand that it has to be self contained inside the sp and I'm not talking about doing any creative resampling or anything but just talking about the rules regarding the final rendering of the beat. Thanks for the help and I'll post my beat as soon as I know this. :?:

as far as i understand, external equipment/programs can only be used for mastering and mixing, no sequencing. i hope this helps.

Thanks a lot for the quick response Djmellow. I already have it mixed inside my sp-404 so I'm just gonna decide on the order of the patterns, do the remain button fx trick thing so I can put a compressor over everything for some simple mastering and call it good. Thanks again Djmellow.

Alright guys, here's mine:

I suspect it might be a little quieter than some of yours. I couldn't use the compression trick because I had to use different effects for the actual performance of the beat. Oh well, just turn it up a bit if needed.

Thanks. I fixed it...or at least I think I did. I'm new to box.net.
