A trick for working without quantize on sp-404

When using quantize, you can record and resample your drums with 1 or 2 seconds of dead silence. This way you can adjust the how in the pocket/tight
or swung/loose you want each piece of your drum kit. If you do this with two copies of a hi-hat sample you can isolate and adjust every other note in an 1/8th note quantize to be a little late. You can get cool swing in your drum patterns using this technique. Resample is fun too though, I suggest trying both and any combination of the two that you can think of.
