Wow. That is a huge drawback! I don't know what I would do if I couldn't use that knob while resampling. Sell your SX and get the old 404 because resampling while tweaking effects is what it's all about. :D
This is not the case with my 404SX... Ctrl 3 knob works fine when resampling. Sounds like your 404 might be a bit "special".

So wait, it does or it doesn't let you use mfx cntrl 3? Can anyone else confirm this.

On the SX... when you hit resample it lights up LEV just like the 303 at which point you can set the Level. The difference is, the SX only lets you set the level before you hit rec (to pick the pad to resample to), while the 303 lets you adjust the level up until you actually start the resample.

It DOES work, I just tried it again. I don't the hell know why I was under the impression it didn't work, I was pretty sure I tried it before and failed - thanks guys for pushing my nose into it!
