Hmm, I see your point. I guess that award should be about who's made the biggest impression, reasonably short after first arrival then, I guess. :)

fun idea. not too into awards. but this forum is cool and its all in good fun. something to keep in mind is the variety of styles in this forum. say there are more hip hop heads here opposed to electronic then the hip hop cat will most likely win the best producer and so forth, its just an opinion based on what genre you like ya know? i would suggest similar categories in each genre. which gets pretty hard sometimes fitting people into certain genres when you have cats like ormo and ish up here haha.

but i mean you should have experimental/hip hop/electro etc etc. award shows do that just for this reason. if it was "best musician of the year" 50 cent sure as fuck wouldnt win but some people might think he should or something stupid like this haha.

ps.another that would be cool is tape of the year.

^ word up

let's keep this super casual and fun. no sense creating any exclusion or bad feelings :)

in fact...i think folks should just announce their own categories and winners in this thread. we don't need to vote and have an 'official' list, do we?

Loose Unit award - Glue Bag
All Grown Up award - Sargent SP
Most Consistent award - Juxt
MIA award - 606man
Dropping Knowledge award - Euclid
Noob Killer award - Hema/Esrom
Gear Acquisition Syndrome award - Ellaguru

I'm not sure why this forum is so interesting, shouldn't it search for porn so it can censor the internets for the Chinese?? :p

I am liking a lot of the award categories here. Someone should make a poll somewhere.
