another awesome way to make was ass 303 bass or wicked synth leads, is to use djfx looper or bpm looper with the loop set real close, then match the pitch with pitch shift and make a bunch of keyboard notes with resample. then add some filter when they are sequenced and oh yea, dope tb 303 bass.
theres probably an unlimited amounts of formants to make so you could probably make some rad basses.

It's cool 'cos if you're trying to make a bass this way you'll easily end up with synth leads. not bass notes.
