because it will allow you to interact with programs like ableton live the same way you do with your sp's. which is without a mouse and a while smoking a joint :) --~

not to mention collaborating with someone on the same computer in the same room in the same song. its going to revolutionize electronic music and finally allow true 100% collaboration in programs. live shows would be alot more fun with two (or three or four) people messing with samples all synced up before they even leave the program.

vibrating buttons sounds interesting, but for me it's all about twisting knobs and slapping pads...and you really can't beat solid hardware for that

yea but there actually is a solution to the knob thing

the surface can detect whats on top of it so you could literally have stick-on detachable knobs with sensors on the bottom.

then you would have a completely customizable workstation
