I've still not come up with a name that sticks...

I'm so unstable . . Constantly changing my mind about everything.

Perhaps I should embrace this and have a name that has something to do with instability and constant flux
Samples.

Ha, I did a little cassette with tape loops when I was about 14 or so under that name. Pretty sure there's a death metal band out there with this name too. Not that any of that should stop you from using it if you feel inclined.

On the whole name changing thing in general. I say if the sound is different enough to warrant it go for it. No one would want to go buy the new DOOM album and it be some kind of porngroove experimental side project he's doin. On the other hand I can a agree with keeping the same name to establish your brand. I've came up with a shit ton of names for projects I wanted to do but never used em. I made one EP and few loose tracks as EsromCole which is really just another user name I use around the net. That shit was super experimental video game glitched out noise that I didn't want associated with this name cuz it was so different my own established "style".

thats my idea around it and i think with the suggestions made, ima stick with niqnames cuz i want it to be different from hip hop. just like most of us, im into portishead and have been for some time. tryin to get myself out of this "beatmaker block" ive been listening really hard to stuff on the boards and their music as well. so u guys were a big influence
