thanks for the PC advice fellas. i think a full reinstall is needed and i have an IT friend who can do it when he has time.
far as i know, the soundcard issue is unrelated. my PC is a Frankenstein made from leftover parts, so it wasn't a good sound card to begin with. to get the most of out of my audio programs i'm gonna need to upgrade anyway.

and Beanz i agree, Macs are the way to go for music but i can't afford one right now. it's on my wish list though

hey Juxt, if you up this to Youtube i can add it to the SP Forums Video Playlist which is collected at the forum's 'Space page

i think this video really highlights the sound-manipulation strengths of the SP, it'd be great to get it on the 'Tube

I'd love to know what kind of software you use to do that with, blast1.

I'm still looking for a non-Mac program that's easy to use. Also to make some live footage of my MV and making music in general.

final cut, for non-mac program or pc, i'm not too sure, probably "sony "vegas"or "premier," but there is "movie maker," which is "free," here:
