Beanz711 wrote:Wow today just isn't my day....I got the beat pretty much done, the only thing i needed was to import the talking samples into the mix, but my cardreader broke. So I rush to radioshack and buy a new one. I import the samples, but they sound like the chimpmunks when I hit the pad, any info on this or how to fix.

Thanks for the info, but I figured it out.... When I downloaded the samples, they were in 11,??? sample rate. So I had to convert. Anyway I am uploading the beat now. Hopefully you people will like it.

OK...This took me a little because I had three different parts that I wanted to use together, but it would sound right. I did end up using all three parts, but I used them differently. It's weird. You have to listen to the whole song to understand. I call it Ode to Joy-Back to Ode/ Make him an Offer.

I did cheat in a way. Not by using other equipment, I did only use the SP for the whole construction, eqing, etc., but I used a sample that was not provided in the thread. When I think Godfather, I think make him an Offer he can't refuse. So I sampled that quote off of youtube. If I must get disqualified, I understand.

I am not used to constructing whole songs on the SP (mixing and mastering wise), so when you listen, if you can give me some pointers on how to make my tracks better sounding that would be great.

Anyway enough of me babbling, here is the beat.

my first guess would be that the file isn't a 44.1 wav file. in which case you need to directly record from the pc or convert the file.

edit; i didn't read the second page. guess you got it figured.

How do you set it up to do that....my first time uploading it worked, but my file was a WAV, so it took about 10 min to dwld befor you could listen. then i converted and reuploaded, but you could only download the file with no preview.
