If anything I'd imagine we should disallow the use of the loop capture... just like the repitching abilities. Then again I don't really mind, I just make the most of what I've got (when I'm not whining about it).

(I know it might be a little controversial, but why can't we bring all warriors to an equal level? I'm really convinced those rich ass 555 users have a lot more advantages... (just technical 8) )
What would you do without your loop capture count???!!! :P
How about some external pattern resample for everybody... ? I mean the rules where made at a time the 555 wasn't on the market yet. If you guys think it's not worth to discuss that shit again it's cool with me, really. 8) )

I won't make any promises but I guess i got sth. nice in the trunk. Hopefully nobody looped the same part I did.... *finger crosses*

i have the 555 but only for three months and my beat is gunna suck anyways

i can see your point Wax, but i don't agree

if we open that door then everyone is going to want to alter the rules, and with such a varied amount of pros/cons to each SP we'd never all agree on what was 'fair'

i think there's been more SP-404 winning beats than any other SP (largely due to Juxt's indomitable streak!!)

remember, it's the limits that make these systems interesting to work with

my 2 cents....

word. I think the biggest advantage would be multi-track sequencing... or possibly multi-pitching samples for playing in melodies. But ultimately, there are pros and cons to all the machines. Look at the difference between a 303 and a 606... or an 808. I understand where you're comin from tho Wax.

and as a side note... you do things with the 404 that blow me away homie (and prolly a lot of other cats on here). 8)

It's all good like it is. I've found a way out of my troubles. No need for loop capture anymore. 8) So, forget it... I was just a bit pissed, cause I couldn't do it the way I want to...

*Never touch the rulez wax, NEVER*

Well, the differences between a SP404 and SP303 are bigger if you ask me. :)

yo i jumped on this battle fo rthe first time and i hope i got somethin dope. im tryna keep it instrumental but i cant crack that style for shyt.

yo WAX INS i feel what u was sayin cuz im rocking a 606 with 8voices max. but redoing my patterns helped and didnt hurt wusing short measures. although u have more voices the single tracking must be a bitch.

when do we post what we have? or can i post mines in a day or so? let me know...peace
