Asha - love the idea of doing something outside of whas comfortable.
Since a lot of lofiiiin beat makers, that used to be around these parts (im crying), switched to jungle, dance, dnb, hard house, quit etc... not anti fidelity swingers with a passion for unquantized feelz, I would hope the winner of this round chooses to embrace your proposition for genre bending our passions for something outside of our comfort zonez.

to add. lots of respect to you and mitts for constantly participating and being active. I assumed you thought you're music was boom bap but you were referencing a different time - my bad <3
It would be a shame if any1 left to strictly piss in pianos.
it WOULD get boring if everyone pumped 202 2x lofee x2 2x back and forth and recorded to their russian tape machines. (I do love that texture tho.. so maybe it wouldn't be so bad....) jk

I legit love how this threads’s grown. It’s so apt for the Christmas theme. If my in-laws laws were beat makers this is pretty much how they’d bicker after their 2nd glass of prosecco.

And just like with the in-laws, the point scoring must never end. Jess, dude, I’ve always been the weirdo making the wrong genre, so leave me off the lo-fi infidels list. I was making jungle back in the day & losing battles long before you’d learned to resample!

Now that we’ve all sobered up & had a good snooze I’ll get started on setting up the next battle.

It’ll be up in 2 or 3 days because I don’t have a sample pack ready & will be busy with work. Got a few things in mind to gather.
