Luckily, the only symptoms I get from Koala is a heavy bout of eye-rolling whenever anyone mentions it in comment sections/forum posts where someone has asked which HARDWARE sampler they should buy.

No cards with it but it's MINT. I bought a late 90s Sandisk CF card and a PCMCIA adaptor, which has worked 100% with my previous MS-1s, but this time it freezes after every card task. So, for example, it freezes when formatting but appears to format or if I save a sample it'll crash...but when I turn it back on, the sample is there and plays back fine. So it's fine but a pita. So, as a result, I have just bought an og PCMCIA Sandisk 20mb card for a relatively reasonable price.

I have the 1.13 OS currently. It looks like 1.12 is still available online...would that one be better? As far as I understand it, no OS was ever stable. I do recall the MS-1 I had last time crashed a fair amount, altho I can't remember which OS that had. This one hasn't crashed yet, even using it all day yesterday (unless I tried to doing something with the card, as stated above).

Occasionally, the first sample I take after turn-on is terribly distorted but that fault is cleared by turning off and on again, sometimes a couple of times. That happened with both my previous MS-1s too.

Bollox. It's 1.03 I have installed, not 1.13. I got confused. Just found a good working version of 1.12 on a forum. And someone has a good 1.13, apparently. Looks like I didn't need that PCMCIA ATA card afterall - just 1.12! Doh!

I did see on this forum (on a post from ages ago) that someone got one of those ones to work. I always used to get the white/red CFs tho, which are slightly older. I think the determining factor is having SDCFB on the back...

Edit: apparently 1.13 is required, according to post above. Altho I had it working before but am not sure I remember having 1.13?

Was hoping to jump in on this was! Audio interface wont start up and recording in reaper with 404mk2 as input doesnt seem to working right either! Great entries as usual!!!

Turn off the 'new' souncloud and go back to classic (option top right, iirc). Same thing happened to me.
