Regretfully, I'm bowing out of this battle. I've been struggling with the quantitize in my 404. Honestly, I've never been a fan of quantitizing. I prefer to make the decision on how my drums wil come out, not the sampler. While I love thge aspect of forcing myself to use ONLY the 404, I mostly work with a bunch of tools, not just one. At the same time I'm not entering a wack ass track or cheat just to enter. I also didn't want to fall vicitm to the Jaylib syndrome. SO i'm back to the 404 bootcamp. I'll be back though. Looking forward to hear what comes oout of the battle. Much respec

just enter..
I feel that these battles force you to practice and do things you wouldn't normally do. Which is great.
Speaking of this battle, I haven't had a chance to do anything other than put the samples on my box. Ha. It's going to be hot here today, so I doubt I'll be up inside this sweaty house today. But hopefully I can start it this evening. I think the battle ends monday...
**edit**
also Amable, yo, I'm no pro, and you may already know this, but I have had problems with the quantize as well, the best thing to do is to switch up the quantize settings for the hi hats, snare, kicks.. if that makes sense, it will help you get more of a solid rhythm to work with. Hope that helps.

Just got a SP-555 and had to Enter.
This is my first experience on the SP-555, so hit me with some constructive critic, so I can be the master of this wonderful Beast
battle 26 - its heaven to me.mp3 - 6.67MB

Hell yes.
And nice work. I dig the melody and the reverse noises at the end of the bars. Good electro style stuff.
Unfortunately I've run out of time for putting my stuff together, and won't be home again til tomorrow night... I've got a random jam with some patterns I've put together, but it's not as structured as usual. If voting goes ahead before I get home, this'll have to do!

I hope I can make it until the deadline.
*edit
Damn.. I've wasted the whole afternoon and reached nearly nuthin...
I got some nice chops I think, but that drumkit just sucks... I can't do boom boom bap shit with that sounds; that's quit dissapointing BUT I'll give it a another try tomorrow. Would be cool if you could give me one more day...
