I,ve been really lucky with the 2 808's I have(knock on wood). And I searched relentlessly for a way to use something other than the disk drive(smart card etc)...no luck. You would need to learn machine coding...and well I would rather make music than learn that shit

Either that or buy the same combo card reader that works in the 2000XL.
