Great story Crane. I've always thought of myself as a compassionate person, yet I don't go out of my way enough to help people in need. It's easy for me to help when it comes to money....donating to a charity or giving money to the homeless....I don't have to "work" or put my time into it. Giving your time & energy is the BEST deed.
Your story is inspiring.

crane, it depends on what their disability is. sometimes they are oblivious to the fact that they're different, but a lot of the time, they know, and it leads to really bad depression.... it's a damn shame. there's nothing wrong with being different and i feel so much empathy for those with disabilities. but you know, i guess we're all just dealt the hand that the universe gives us. damn shame.
