Been a little strapped for time too, but I'm on my way. This Sunday sounds good to me.

I did it "partially", it means that at first I recorded the first sequence which ends up with this "uuuuUuUUUU", and click stop, then I prepared my next set of samples, played em in record mode, and so on. I hope it's allowed ;p
It's sometimes off the beat cuz I was playing mostly 4 bars 'live' without much quantizing :)

I see, nothing wrong with doing that man, it wouldn't much different from using song mode on the SP-606 which not everybody has, so it makes sense other people need software to 'complete' their music. Fine with me! :)

I changed the tempo sometimes but I did it deliberately to hear from ya that it sounds a bit weird ;)

Hahaha, I see. It does make it more unique though, in a way I found it to be better this way actually.

Thanks for your advices and opinion plus I'm waitin for your vision of this record :)

You are welcome and yes I should really get to it and make one myself, I've got to study a lot this week, so I won't really be able to do anything serious until Thursday night or so. A Sunday deadline will be fine with me.

nice beat man. nice chops and switches.
in case you didnt know, you are not allowed to seperate tracks outside the SP in battle. It has to come straight out the sp -but you are allowed to master it externally for example EQ/compressing the entire mix.

good to know-i assumed that since we're allowed to record on software it wasnt a big deal to track em out,i thought thats whet people were doing.i've only done it in one battle though, and even then all i did was put the drums on one track and all the samples on another.but i don't have a compression or decent eq plug in either,so that can make us even.thanks about the beat man

I make everything in the 303 including mixing when I enter battles and only use audacity to record my beat and export with out editing anything using the program. I just see it as a way to get better with the 303 since I know I can make nice arrangements and accomplish great mixes in a program on my computer. I guess I need a challenge to feel like I achieved something I can appreciate for myself despite the fact that I can make better music when a more complicated machine like a computer is helping. Which is ultimately why I don't enter many battles, the beats usually hard to make and you guys are impossible to beat.
