Thinking about selling my SP-303. Am i stupid? :)

I finally got another one after selling mine a few years ago, which I instantly regretted. They are getting rarer and you would be selling something that is only appreciating in value. Do what you want...but the way I use mine now is a lot different from how I used it in the past. The compressor/vinyl sim is the best on these units (better than its successors) and for me, that makes it worth far more than what I paid for it. The mojo is real...instead of finding you don't use it, make yourself use it.

Yeah, the vinyl sim IS different, right? Sometimes i think it's stupid to keep it just because of the sim but it really is something special that i 'd probably miss. Good points there admb!

Everybody has their own personal preference when it comes to anything, and SP's are no different. The 303 is my personal favorite, but I can see why someone else wouldn't like it as much as I do. If you're not using it and you could use the money, then it's okay to sell it if you want.

I'm about to sell mine aswell because I seriously need money. Though I wonder if I'll really miss it..so far it's the most fun, creative, limited pain in the ass sampler I've ever used out of all the samplers I've used so far (SP404SX, MPC2000XL, MPC1000 not much actually).

After I'll save some money I'm gonna try the 404 and see if I can keep that one forever and ever. I look really forward to that moment actually. As much as I love the 303's sound, look and history (Madlib made me buy it aswell I admit hehe) I actually do think the 404 will be the right one for me. I'm willing to trade the beloved Vinyl Sim for more pads, memory, speed and other effects.

Haha yeah, i'm still thinking about selling it now and then because of the stupid money. I still don't know what will happen. One day i know i'll keep it forever, next day i think about cashing it.
