Dope idea! We definitely need to find some way to archive this if this is going to happen. If livestreams are too cumbersome perhaps pre-recorded sets could be an option? That way the recorded sets could be premiered on a live steam and later be reviewed from the archive.

Perhaps we could invite some special guests too. I'm thinking of some big names in the 'SP scene'.

The pre-recorded bit sounds like it would be way less of a logistics headache. I imagine that they could all be compiled and streamed from the same, designated link.

Won't be as fun as an all-live performance but at least the idea is still there: showing your skills, sharing your music, and giving people a peep into your world & energy.

It would be so much easier if we were all in the same place but that's a pipe dream

It's actually a lot more fun than it sounds cause if it's you being played, then someone you're talking to playing right after you, you're both in the room, along with everyone else..

It's really cool as it just sparks all kinds of music talk, idea sharing, etc.

And plus, as a 'premier' type setting, I'm sure people would be psyched just to be the first to hear a never before played LBJ track or some shit..

Just an idea. I been enjoying hanging out on plug already, and it's definitely fun times even if it's just hanging out and sharing tracks we like that aren't even related to what the room/show is about...the other night, 8 of us ended up just deciding to watch Everything Is Terrible. Shit's flow.

^ Seems like a cool idea, is there a limit on peeps streaming or viewing the stream?

Plug DJ seems cool in concept but imo would prefer if there was a way to play live rather than showcase prerecorded material.

I was actually gonna post the same idea just now, glad I came across this post. If anyone's still viewing this post/interested in this let me know. I'd be happy to make this a reality. Even a physical event would be cool if people are willing to travel to it.

That's what it's all about! I hang here because I don't have many peers that make "beatz" (or play around with samplers), so it's nice to come here and get some brain stimulus from like-minded fellows.
