Highlander, something to keep in mind too is how you compare the recorded sounds with the original ones, do you use a mixer, some headphones, ..? this can make a huge difference if you are not in the same conditions. You can also try to sample thru a compressor.

I compare and listen to the sounds from the same output. Probably it was my cable and like you said I need some outboards like compressor to get better signal.
