4 mouvements track, sort of fake beat tape (maybe too long)
everything played live, with some prepared loops obtained from resampling live (that's for the last mouvement -from 3'30'' to the end at 5'29''...-)

I started working on the Battle last night but I ended up making two quick-cookers. Maybe today I will actually try to f*ck those samples up.

Just finished my first song using only sp404sx.
https://soundcloud.com/jmlweb/spbb164-t ... d-classics

I did it the following way:

  • Chopped and resampled kick and snare. Played a basic drumloop and resampled the result. Changed start/end and made a loop.
  • Played the loop for some bars and resampled the result.
  • Chopped some reverse sounds and then filtered it and resampled for hihats.
  • Played hihats with the drums and resampled it.
  • More and more and more resample.
  • Recorded to Audacity.

I know it's not a hit and it sounds bad equalised but for me it was really a quest and I've learned a lot above the resampling function (specially for making loops).

Later I added some hithats using some reverse sounds. (resample).
Played with the bass adding some effects

this is so bad lmao. had massive hard drive failure during the week and am now running on a slow ass demo version of ubuntu on a borrowed usb drive  then wound up finding out there was this weird synth convention over the weekend so I just threw this together so quick I didn't even want to publish this but I feel like it'd be disrespectful if I didn't participate in the challenge I presented everyone.

Nice man!
Well this has been a week I think, so I guess I should post the poll.
