could you advice some albums by aldrich and humperdinck? i don't know them...
Hey, yeah, recently i've been looking into old easy listening being fed up of the same old soul and funk sampling.
Anyways, Ronnie Aldrich, cool guy. He's the one that did "popcorn", you know the old moog track that's been sampled. I just got that tape actually, it says Popcorn with Hot butter on the cover. It's a cover album like most of easy listening but it's heavy on moog. RJD2 sampled some of it. Also, Ronnie Aldrich is known for crazy string crescendos, so cool stuff to sample. I just got a Paolo Conte tape too actually. Pretty good. I want to sample more french stuff too, like Leo Ferre, well, you must know him. He did some heavy stuff. Litterally heavy! There's a track that's heavier than Sabbath and from the same years. Brigitte Fontaine too. She even did stuff with Sonic Youth. Anyways, so much stuff out there. I actually want to sample more Ralph records stuff from the 80's. Like Renaldo and the loaf and the Residents. Actually Snakefinger (this album:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIq51GidtMQ) is such good inspiration for percussion sounds. I love the sound of this album. Alright, I could talk about music for days without stopping..

grab his "Paolo Conte" (1984) and "Aguaplano"(1987 maybe) sure masterpieces. Another Worth to check: Luigi Tenco (check the best), Piero Ciampi (Genius! check "il mondo di piero ciampi" or everything you find)Fabrizio De Andre' (hits from 60s and 70s, and "Creuza de ma")

i think you know Gainsbourg yet; another crazy one is surely Boby Lapointe

Hey Ella, I was wrong about Ronnie Aldrich. Hot butter was with Stan Free. Even APhex Twin did a cover of "popcorn" in his early days. i didn't even know that.

I love that site too, it's the best to find out about samples. I'm hooked to that site.

thanks Anitak! in reality those rules aren't very uniques, i partecipate in some SP battles years ago (about #50 or #51, i don't remember well, 2009 or 2010,wow,history

) where there were rules similar to those, but thanks anyway! maybe i just added the "balck list fx"
anyway, nice track!

Yey,
My first ever battle-entry. I feel like a one-man-garage-band! Thanks for an interesting challenge. I had lots of fun making mouth drums, but maybe I overdid them. They sound kind of real to me.
