lodger wrote:Rich, nice track overall- nice variations. my only recommendations are to layer your drums up/ compress to help them stand out in the mix and explore ways of ending tracks other than abruptly cutting out. the big issue with lower sample rates is that they are straight up transient destroyers which can take the attack out of a sound and leave it feeling mushy. one thing i like to do with my drums is layer the same drum sound pitched up a good ways, but mixed pretty low. it lets you be lofi, etc but still keep the punchiness
Thanks for the advices.
For the firs one: have you listen with monitors? With mine everything seemed fine...
For the pitched druns: sometimes i do that with snares: i resample 3 layes of different pitches to give snare "more body"

No problems for picking up samples, but i will not be able to partecipate this time (i'm not at my place at the moment and i haven't got the ST with me...).
Where it will be at: STforums or here?

I could understand both. does anyone have any objections to continuing to have it here? I know there is a dedicated forum at sampletrak.lefora.com, but i dont think many people have been going there/would see it there. anyone care to chime in on this one?

I'm fine with keeping the battles here as long as no one minds. the only reason I would see to move over to the other forums is if it will add some more people... but if it's really dead over there why not stay here? I know there's some more people on here with STs!

I suggest to do this battle on here. But for the other battles i would like to try them in the ST forums , because it seems to be almost dead.
