Sorry to bump again but it just really makes me really mad that roland are ignoring all of us on this forum. I just copped a boss doctor groove 202 (the drum and bass machine one, not the sampler), this thing is awesome. great sounds, good sequencer (can control another SP if you want it to), all the 808 and 909 sounds, amazing squarepusher style roll function.
But to be fair, I really had to hold back to stop myself from getting a Korg Volca beats and bass that would do the same thing and probably a lot better but i'm a roland/boss fanboy so had to get the 202.
These Volcas are awesome for the money too. For just over 300 quid you can get an awesome drum machine, bass machine and a synth. Add a little mixer and you have a mini studio for less that 400 quid. These things are gonna be popular. How many people bought the monotron and monotribe? Shit loads.
Believe me, its just a matter of time until we see korg unleash a mini sampler that can do everything a 404 can do and more, probably for incredibly cheap too!
Has Roland given up on the beats/dance market? it seems so. I dont think they realise how many fans their SP series has.
Maybe there's too much money in the Accordion game for them to care.
Anyone have an thoughts on this?
asking roland to add features to the 404sx
