no, it has pitch banks. similar to 16 note on an MPC. (and pitch efx)
but all the pitches are timestretched to the same length.
in other words, the same tone pitched high will sound for the same time as that tone pitched low.

bummer, thought I was onto a really exciting find. I am going to get this battery so I can run other things away from home like the 555 or ESX etc. Would just love an all in one with pitching and sequencing etc. Still dig the 404SX a ton, i am so fast on it- wish my Android had an audio in someone suggested using an app for pitching on the phone which would be cool. I have an RCA to 1/8" I use to grab audio from my phone all the time.

I got a killer deal on a 505 today, really like it alot. Ordered the external battery to use it mobile like my 404SX. Am going to try the pitching tonight- have been learning different things about it since I got it.

The 505 does actually do odd time signatures from 1/4 to 8/4 I think. I did a 5/4 and a 7/4 tonight, very cool that it can do that- as I occasionally write in those sigs. Would be nice if it did 7/8 but oh well, just double the tempo and i can work with it.
