Liking that Box player, makes things easy to judge.
Falc vs Wario: Falc. As dope & head nod Wario is, Falc has the kinda of flashy 'WHAT JUST HAPPENED?' edge a battle beat needs.
Belmont vs Turrican: Turrican. Just a bit tighter rhythmically, great 90's beat... Those synths too, damn, this is a pro sounding production. The arps & melody are perfect.
Samus vs Snake: Snake. Dope up tempo beat... Those voices you dropped, WTF. Rule 34 of the internet?
Kirby vs Link: Kirby. The link one had some nice ideas but ended up sounding like two unrelated pieces of music played together.
Poo vs Shaq: Poo. Understated, well planned beat. Close 2nd to Shaq for the insane chops. Poo just held it together tighter. Sometimes the Best offense is defense, right?
Jiggly vs Ness: Ness. Really wanted to give it to Jiggly on first listen but Ness has the craft & variety to take the cake.
Pika vs Fox: Pika. Just in by a nose, could've voted for Starfox just as easily. Pika won because of the stronger drums. Fox had slightly better melodic elements.
Yoshi: Two sweetest words in the English language. De fault! Would've been hard to top this one. That little syncopated horn stab is gold! One of my favourites this round.
*Edit* What happens if there's a draw?

good point; either they do another quick match (i would let choose them the sample on their own - just talk to each other) or we just try to get more people to vote... i think the involved ones should decide how they wanna handle this... maybe tomorrow it's not even necessary
Solid Snake/Samus and Jiggly/Ness how would you like to handle this?
maybe someone can make a little thread in the freedom of speech to break the tie before the poll is closed.. working a.t.m. -cheers

A - really tricky choice here, both beats got good atmosphere...but i really like the glitch in the Preqwal beat so i give it to him
B - this one was simpler to judge...i found some of the sounds used by LB to be quite annoying, too shrill and high-pitched. whereas Wax had a cohesive beat made equally from all the elements (real nice drums especially).
C - both these beats make good use of that tropical-style sample. Kai got a bit more stuttery feel, whereas Teewok's sounds a bit fuller. I really like the background theremin-sounding thing in Kai's beat, but overall I feel Teewok had the better beat here.
D - ImOnlySleeping got a nice intro and creeping rhythm, but the beat doesn't really go anywhere...no progression and gets a bit stale by end. Fluentt got a fuller sounding beat (deep bass hit there too). the chop melody fits his beat nicely.
E - IIIII beat here sounds incredible, not just "good for a battle". those sound fx getting flipped about, add so much groove to the already dope head-nodder. instant download. Human's beat is also quite good, a lot more chiptuney with the harsher 8bit sounds. still, nice stutter groove here and there and also some nice switch-ups, but IIIII's beat is on another level.
F - ritchard's beat sounds really nice, love the arrangement..nothing stays the same fgor too long without a cut or FX laid down. that said, it's very short and i feel it coulda been much nicer if expanded and built up. Hseiken takes those elements and creates a much wider and more interesting soundscape. love the DnB stylings, the repeats and filtering on drums sound great. top end also has nice filtersweepy pad. Ritchard's beat was interesting, but Hseiken pushes his beat to another level.
H - crazy fx leading into Kel's beat (pika!), decent stompy drum rhythm with interesting fills. melody sounds interesting with the various elements changing up via FX, some good noises used rhythmically too. riPaddo's beat is ok, nice to hear some changes as it plays, but really lacks a little extra something to push it forward.
dope beat from Music Speaks too, big bass! props
you've all made some interesting beats, this is a dope tourney. keen to hear the second round guys

[quote="wax inspektor"]+1 ?

why should i pm you?
just sent 2 messages to GOLDMAN and rrr*.... for one seat! -nobody replied, eventhough they readed that shit. so for how long should i have waited?! didn't want to delay the poll/tourney and i think all the other players that made it into round 2 will agree on that decision; so don't take it personal; it is just like it is... there is 7 players dropping out tomorrow; just start some new shit if you're so pumped about tourney-battles; i'd love to see you create; not hate... :
Meh no hate just wondering what the deal. Anyway.
Just looking for feedback and community. Obviously it's not open.
I get it.
Keep pushing those pads kiddos
