Haha one of my students wrote an essay on vocaloid. Funny thing is it's starting to lose the robotic nature of its voice. And it's an underground hit here in Japan.

yeah man, that story of how they got the 808 cymbal was really interesting...think it matches an ethos we share here at sp-forums...that happy mistakes can lead to good new directions

Vocaloid was new to me, had to go on YT and check some examples out...weird shit
