I've made beats by clearing all the samples on my memory card and then sample new shit and play my old sequences with the new samples and see what I got.

well, well. i'll have to check it while i wrecks it!! (replacing samples) .. i'll try it. thanks guys

in ref to card >> i know my card was Adata, and i'm not sure if it is because its 2gb, but it would lock up the 555 and then i would put it in the card reader and the WaveConv app wouldn't recognize it. Just wierd.

So i'm going to give Sandisk a shot unless you can tell me what you're using, (with no probs in the WavConvert app, that is). Sizes would help too. I'm thinkin about a couple of 32-64mb cards for drums, and a larger card for loading songs. Any info/advice is appreciated.

affirmative.

i ordered a 1gb for $20 from another place, they didn't specify the brand of the card.. i basically took a chance on a cheapo. turns out they sent me another Adata card. same thing. not reliable. acts funny.

sandisk. and sandisk only, for now. please post if something else works for you.

Some no-name brand '512MB Premium' card, I think the brand is called 'extreMEmory', works fine too here. It's only 512mb, but they also sell ones with more memory. Seems to be a German brand or imported out of Germany, not sure if you guys can buy this too.

I've bought this in a Kodak camera shop by the way. The guy at the shop told me that 512MB compact flash cards or less memory are going to disappear almost right now, because most new camera can handle up to 4Gb or 8Gb compact flash cards at least.

I usually use 128mb. I have some 64s and a single 512. I find the 128s to be just right. I can backup till the cows come home and fill up every pad. But then again I mainly sample in lofi :)
