Where do you record to? Onto 808 tracks? Or do you multitrack recording into the mpc x now?

He's so excited he forgot to show and list his fancy new £800 guitar!

Plus, those new monitors of his basically mean that he's about to develop a whole new kinda relationship with his neighours! I just checked the spec, they got some bass. He's clearly on a roll right now and I'm guessing a Hydrasynth Deluxe is coming next!

Where do you record to? Onto 808 tracks? Or do you multitrack recording into the mpc x now?

Everything is going straight to the MPC X now dude .


Usually I'd record to either 2 and 4 track tape decks, mini disc recorder or sometimes I'd use Abelton but mostly always in a live context and direct to tape as it's the way I like to do stuff the most ..I guess that comes from my days as a gigging musician and session work over the years.

Very old school approach admittedly but it suits how I do things basically.
