Re: Studio Pics
thanks guys,
@timmytoga,
The MPC is the main workstation and final destination of all the audio and arrangement, also MIDI master to the microsampler (in/out) and 404 (in). Audio outs from microsampler stay going to MPC inputs, main outs from MPC to channels 1 and 2 on the 4-track, and 404 outs to channels 3 and 4 on the 4-track.
All audio is sampled first into the 404 from whatever source, then exported to 32mb card and loaded to the MPC. MPC extra outs 1 and 2 stay going to microsampler inputs in order to isolate samples from MPC and resample in real time through microsampler back into the MPC. USB connection from the MPC to laptop for additional dragging/dropping files onto CF card. So the plus side about all of it is that I don't ever have to unplug/replug anything except whatever the original sample source is going to the SP...

Re: Studio Pics
Oi kiyani how do you move all over the shop and maintain your setup? I'm about to move to Germany and I dunno what I'm gonna do
Re: Studio Pics
Well, just fill your backpack with samplers instead of clothes... Comin to Australia I just brought music stuff with me really then bought a load of new clothes from the charity shop.
Also just commit to carrying more stuff than you think is possible. And just find a way haha

Re: Studio Pics

I finally managed to set everything up so I never have to change anything anywhere. I record the SP through the KaossPad on the MPC, resample that on the SP. Or switch the samplers, whatever mood I'm in. The KaossPad is hooked up to Ableton so I can record and track out everything there. The Push and NanoKontrol then take control of additional effects, mixing and clip triggering/sequencing. I can hear everything going on everywhere, record anything at all times without ever having to plug, unplug or any switch in-/outputs. Just need to buy one more cable so I don't have to go through the phone output of the MPC
When I'm in the mood to get busy I just bring my laptop, plug in the USBs and one instrument cable, fire the devices up and everything is ready to go. It's a dream.
P.S.: Damn, MattCoops why are your pics so freaking large? ;D
