looking for a sample similar to whats in this african vid...

Post by miramira »

heres a video by Congolese soukous band Empire Bakuba with Pepe Kalle,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOyBKA2xCsI

if you listen in the background, from 0:22 onwards theres a load of 'whistle' and 'smash' sound effects getting droped in the background, they sound like there straight out of my old high school Yamaha keyboard, can anyone link us to a rar file or archive that would have a load of cheap 80s/early 90s low bit sound effects/

anyway enjoy the video and its 'naffness'!

your best bet might to be just go out and find an old toy piano with sound fx built in, I remember a few hobby sites that collects old pianos like that but I cant find it, i am interested in sounds like this too .
