I have a numark PT01 (not the usb table) w/line level outputs, SP 404.... also my mac w/ m-audio quatro without a pre.. which is routed into Reason/Record on my mac...
now if i am sampling with the sp can't i run directly from the turntables since it's a line-level out on the table ?
also, if i want to sample in reason can i use a stereo amp to boost the signal ? can i use the gain on my sp 404 to boost the signal ? how about my tascam 4 track as eq/signal booster ?
help me with my signal chain(s) ?

Re: help me with my signal chain(s) ?
I would go PT01-> SP-> into interface. If you want to skip the SP and just sample into reason just do that. You could always say turn vinyl sim on to beef up your incoming samples and give them some SP Magic. Those PT-01's have a built in pre-amp and get plenty loud so make sure to have your levels set correctly on the Interface and the SP and then bring up the volume on the PT01 last so you don't blast your ears.
Re: help me with my signal chain(s) ?
thanks... so i dont need amplification for the pt01 ?
i do definitely need to run it through some kind of EQ because the bass sound is lacking... i thought that was just the signal from any turntable before it passes through a mixer or whatever

Since the PT-01 is a portable joint it doesn't need a mixer and has the pre built in. So nope.LesPasta wrote:thanks... so i dont need amplification for the pt01 ?
