SP 303/404 Polyphony
I have an NI Maschine and I am thinking of selling it for a SP 303 or 404. The reason: To get out of the box! Being on the computer can be very distracting. The Maschine can play Legato for pads and groups(only one sound will be played at a time in the entire group of pads). Can the 303 or 404 do this? I have watched many videos and read the instruction manual and I don't think you can. This is a handy feature for playing breaks and a deal breaker for me.

Maybe I should rephrase the question since there was 20 views and no replies.
Can you make a 303/404 monophonic? If a sound is already playing off of one pad, can you adjust the settings so the next pad you touch replaces the sound from the last pad?

no, you can't have one pad cut off the playback of another (except of course when the polyphony is maxxed out.. so I guess TECHNICALLY you could use 'empty' samples to pump up the polyphony and cause it to cut things off.. but that would be a major hassle
Samples.

Thanks! A friend and I have been trying to figure that out for a while. I am glad to know that but at the same time its disappointing. The Maschine is so easy to use and automate, but its not portable without a computer! Oh well. I will make do with what I got!
