Helo i have my sp-404 for two days.

So i decide to update the os to 1.05.
Aftr the last 2 sec i get the "FE7" message on the screen, i close the sp and after i fired up i see the default SP-404..... and an Err.
That's all!!

I realised my sp accept only the file DCOAPL2.BIN with the "2" inside.

So is any one can help before i call Roland?
Is there any one to have older firmwares work's?
I forgot to say to i also try the DCOAPL.BIN from 1.04 rename it to DCOAPL2.BIN but my device didnt flash again the DCOAPL2.BIN 1.05 and come up with the same situation.

Maybe if i find an older Os 1.04, 1.03, 1.02, 1.01... but DCOAPL2.BIN make my device works again.

Hm.....
I have it only two days... :(

Thank's and sorry for my english.

Hello and many thank's for reply..

I use the Deolux High speed 1gb cd card.

I found only that and the Extrememory 1gb.

Maybe i will go to the store and replace the deolux with the extrememory?

Do you think that is the problem?

Thank's again...

not sure.. up to you if you want to trade or not.

the card MAYBE the issue.. but not certain.. The problem with some cheap brand cards is that the 404 tries to read them faster than they are capable of providing information, so you get errors.. But I am not sure if this is the problem with the OS or not.

If you want to try and find the older OS version, make sure you check the different countries Roland sites - roland US, roland, roland japan, etc... one of them might have it as they are different.

You are right cartesia!!!

The problem it was the cf card..

I go to the store and replace my deolux with one extrememory card after then i format it with my pc, put the os files in and flash go well and finally i get the 000 message and not the FE7.

My device work's perfect now.

Thank's for helping me cartesia.
