matching turntable pitch

say i make a beat with samples from my turntable and had it pitched up or down some. . .i want to add some synth lines or whatever but what if the pitch puts it inbetween 2 notes u know what i mean? its kinda hard to explain but cuz like the pitch doesnt tell u when it say changed the key from a to c it kinda creeps up through all the tones inbetween the notes

Maybe have a kind of pitch reference at hand, anything with stable pitch will suffice, even toy keyboards. You can use those guitar tuners too. Then find the next note on the keyboard for the sound you want to sample and match by ear until it's good enough.

a common turntable (1210) got a range of like nearly 3 octaves...
2% are like one note (or a half?!)...i need to review that...
so what I'm doin is, I pitch in 2% steps...
keep in mind that pitching an accord can lead to some pretty unmusical results... single notes sometimes work quit ok... *hmmm 16 level pitch*

Also if it comes down to it, just use the fine tuning controls on the synth to make it the same out of tuneness as the record
