im havin some trouble with getting the proper tempo on my sample...i have a sample that's 77 tempo, but i thought ahead and realized it might actually be like 77.something, which is why when i turn CTRL 2 up, it still reads as 154. i tested it out by playing a drum loop in FL at 77 tempo and sure enough, they drop out of sync after a bit (i ended up getting them to stay in sync after a toooon of plays when i put it to 77.4 on FL)....how can i work around this / check the exact tempo, cause when i make patterns it will be a problem :S

dont use loop mode

trigger the sample manually each time you want it to play thru.. this way it doesnt keep drifting and drifting

or you can add/remove a tiny bit off the end/beginning to make it tighter

pitch it (no SP pitch; real pitch)
or
stretch it
or
chop it up


You also could use the Midi In and set an external clock (eg software) to 77,4 bpm and your pattern will follow that. (Start signal coming from the external midi source).. so make a pattern containing your sample (loop) and start it by an external midi-clock-sending-device....

You could use any sequencing software for that;
(not sure if FL sends Midi Clock...?)
All you would need is a 20bug USB-midi-interface...

real talk, if its off a record then pitch the turntable a little different and hope that it will fit better, or time stretch it up or a down a few (or a lot!!) and mess with it until you like how it fits in at a different BPM, or chop it into even two pieces, probably right on a note that makes sense, like if there is any sort of bass line or melody or drum hit that falls on an easily quantizable note, especially if its like a snare hit, cause it will cover up the "blemish" if you will and after you layer enough shit in you won't be able to even tell its there
