So I bought this 303 off of craigslist that turns out to be only partially working. I can get sound out of it at first (recording directly from a turntable or my laptop), but then it just stops playing anything. The pads still light up, but no sound. The volume pot is also crackly sounding when I first turn it on, and if I turn it all the way up I can only hear a faint noise signal.

Anyone have any idea why this would happen? Could it be a matter of opening it up and re-soldering the RCA inputs?

Any help would be much appreciated.

seems like it could be a memory issue - like it freezes up when i try to do too much at once. is this a common issue?
