[Learnerd the basics]

I am planning to purchase a 404 and a kaos pro. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of the 404?

Also, how does the 404 sound coming out of a guitar amp? Ive had an idea using a guitar amp, such as line 6's 30watt spider IV, and using the different guitar models and effects to further the 404/kaos effects range. Im sure it has been done, tho i am new to all this and any pointers and suggestions will help. Thank you.

you can google search for reviews on the 404. i'm sure you'll get a gist of what can/cannot be expected. the 'unexpected' comes with learning to use the unit itself.

resampling capabilities expand creativity

MIDI in

cons:

pitch shift is not real-time
sequencer's not the best
unbalanced in/outs
cannot record performance via midi controller
