Roland=EPIC FAIL
Not only did they fail to deliver the sample editor for the original 404 that Mike Acosta mentioned here on the forum, but now they're trying to undercut Keesj hard work with this bullshit site. Check it
http://www.roland.com/sampler/index.html
This weak ass shit smells just like Acosta, what no link to SP-Forums the site that helped build all that SP buzz. They'd rather just use our ideas for their profits.....big surprise. FAIL

what, no link to SP-forums? for shame..... think of how many people have decided to BUY AN SP based on feedback for their posts here.... not to mention that this website is a GOLDMINE of information.I would've sold my 404 long ago, right after I got it cuz I thought it was just a toy... till I stumbled across the forums... this place didn't just improve my sampling techniques... it [changed my whole perpective on music, man. Keesj interview the least they could do, jeez show some fuckin respect. aye aye aye
Re: Roland=EPIC FAIL
they're ONLY notable event in 2007 is Amy Winehouse won three Grammy awards (matching Norah Jones's trio of new-artist Grammies in 2003). lol how could they forget June 1 – A 2,100-year-old melon is discovered by archaeologists in western Japan.
They can't make money off us, so we get "overlooked"
I also find the artwork interesting... I guess a majority of sp users look like angry 90's gangster rappers?

I wouldn't trip off this negatively. Being listed on an official company site would betray the independence of a forum like this- plus they don't want to cosign everything we like to write about in "Freedom of Speech" & such.
I see it as a positive. The way they had samplers listed on their site before you had to click on 'keyboards', and then go to 'Tabletop samplers'- the confusion probably kept folks from finding the right info- at least they have given them some space, and a positive sign that SPs are here to stay.
I don't think it will change anything any of us do.

Re: Roland=EPIC FAIL
yea.. Did you expect wed get a mention?
Im kinda glad they didnt go tryin to use sp- forums for their own purposes... We need to remain opposed to them so that we can still speak about all the things we hate about roland (eg, not istening to their customers), and hopefully pointthe toward change.

co-sign on hxc's post.
but i do like to throw props keesj's way whenever possible. if roland are a smart company they'd find a way to bring his skills into the fold. dedicated.
get ready for the next big wave of noob questions on the forum. traffic spike a-coming.

I've been hating on Roland as a company since I remember.
hXc made some good points up here, I definitely must agree with him.

Artwork is kinda cool, but on the stereotypic side. Makes it look like the BeatKangz site. To me, it looks like an SP magazine to flaunt their products, but sp-forums remains the truth.
Why no homage to sp-forums though?!!
