yeah if you dont mind the size difference its a bargain :)

they should really make an alternate-casing for it without the speaker-hole section and pot section

i'm actually pretty stoked on the size. something that i can toss in my backpack and sketch out ideas on the go. not that the monome 64/40h don't have that appeal as well, but at that price point I think I would totally baby it and be kinda paranoid...I also like the idea of the four pots on the side that could send extra control info. the speaker thing is a bummer, but maybe that extra space is needed to fit all the additional stuff in there?

also could be rad to make your own case and have a mini 256 for the price of a 64... :mrgreen:

I've never understood why this monome is so damn expensive. Yeah, maybe it was innovative but it doesnt justify the price for me.

This could be a nice alternative for all those ableton guys ( no offense of course :) )
