Hi all,

Some newbie questions:

1) I want to record a sample, using an effect, then record one or two more samples using the exact same effect and effect settings. But for some reasons, the effect settings do not seem to be kept when I record the second sample. Any ideas?

2) Is there a way to listen to (playback) one sample while recording another (into a different pad)?

3) I like the metronome, but is there a way to turn it on, not only during count-in, but also during recording?

And yes, I have the read the manual many times now, but I get a feeling that there are some blank spots here and there in it (i.e. not covering the deep details too well)...

Thanks!

Best regards,
Mats

i dont think there is anything you can do if the settings get screwed up i just turn knobs slightly toward one way and then back to its position.

i think the metronome is supposed to be on while recording a sequence. maby you turned it off

so what you do is you turn on external source, get the effect the way you want it to sound, then record in the one part you want, stop recording, get to the next part, and then record that, and just do it all in one sitting before you mark or resample or chop or whatever, just don't do anything that you have to touch the knobs for, and make sure that the effect is on for the external source every time you go to record

as for the metronome, if by recording you mean sampling a sound through the external source, then no, there isn't, but if you mean during pattern sequence recording, then yes, it should be playing for the count in and then on every beat as long as its in record mode, if its not, hit start/end/level while you are in pattern record mode and turn up the 3rd knob to about 60, which is the default, or maybe lower, that shit can pierce the ears, i wouldn't worry to much about using a metronome while recording in though, use your ears, take more than you need, then mark it up properly and work from there, always leave yourself room within the sample to add or take away from it
