manually alter the turntable speed, bring in the mpc, and a lot of chopping

adjusting samples on the pc, then loading into the 404 and using it for playback/live mixing, effect messarounds and the like.

What about the pitch is getting to you ? If you are trying to create scales the chromatic PS can work well sometimes. What I do is take a large portion of a song... usually just under 2 minutes. and chop real small loops...under a second and hit loop and gate and play that like keys. Works pretty well for me in most instances.

Acid Pro. Still the best solution to all your pitching/timestretch needs imo.

If stretching is all you use it for you can get Acid Xpress for free.

The pro version is the only one that lets you save each sequencer track as an audio file, with just one click. Important for saving multisamples (not for the SP obviously - it uses just the one file! - but for other equipment).

I also find Acid runs VSTi instruments with lower latency than Cubase or Sonar - great for just jamming along with the SP.

But yeah, acid xpress will do the timestretch/pitch change for free, so really every SP owner should have it
